Job description

DIGITAL CONTENT & MARKETING

  • To develop a digital marketing and content strategy with detailed media plans to effectively promote MWS through various digital platforms. These include MWS website, social media, email marketing and any other relevant digital channels.
  • To leverage on MWS existing content as well as develop new content to raise awareness about the MWS organisation, our cause, our services/programmes and advocate for our beneficiaries.
  • To harness the attributes of digital platforms to also effectively grow MWS’ reach and engagement with a younger audience.
  • The implementation plans may include developing content calendars, researching and crafting suitable content, and producing the required digital assets including eg. corporate or fundraising/volunteer engagement campaign videos.
  • To analyse website and social media data and make appropriate recommendations for improvement.
  • To maintain the currency of MWS website and social media platforms.
  • For some of these, you may need to work with an external partner (eg. digital marketing partner, web developer etc).
  • To assist Senior Manager (Communications) in guiding and supervising staff responsible for digital content and marketing.

  • MWS corporate website
  • MWS social media platforms

COMMUNICATIONS SUPPORT

  • To help initiate editorial ideas, develop angles, conduct interviews and write for publications
  • To support in development and implementation of collaterals, corporate branding campaigns
  • To support in development and production of internal communications content and collaterals
  • To support in media releases, enquiries and press monitoring
  • Any other duties assigned by the Senior Manager (Communications)

FUNDRAISING & VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT SUPPORT

  • To support the Partnerships & Engagement team in developing campaigns and collaterals to achieve fundraising or volunteer engagement targets. This will include working with the Partnerships & Engagement team to understand the target audience and campaign objective, ideate angles, develop key message and content, create key visuals and implementing these through all campaign touchpoints.
  • For some of these, you may need to work with an external partner (eg. graphic designer, creative agency etc).
Job Requirements
  • At least 5 years’ working experience in communications, public relations, journalism or editorial positions with extensive digital marketing experience
  • Degree in Journalism, Mass Communications or Social Sciences
  • Creative and competent writing skills in English
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Strong writing and reporting skills
  • Well versed in social media and digital marketing
  • Must be people oriented
  • Able to do effective presentations
  • Proficient in MS Office, working knowledge of CMS Elementor/WordPress is an advantage
  • Able to lead and guide junior staff
