Job description

Job purpose To assist Head to organize and support the team of Social Work Associate to facilitate their coordination with the various schools (proposed 10:1) within the specific clusters (either Sengkang/Hougang/Serangoon or Pasir Ris/Punggol/Tampines Cluster) to be effectively in outreach and engage the parents of assigned clusters.

To be trained as trainers for MSF’s endorsed EBP such as Triple P and Signpost and to facilitate the implementation of MWS brand of parenting support programmes/ services for the schools within the assigned cluster.

Duties and responsibilities • To work independently and as part of a team to execute MSF’s endorsed EBP such as Triple P (Level 2,3 & 4) and Signpost programme. • To work closely with Head to ensure quality service delivery which includes meeting MSF’s target indicators. • To attend regular team meetings and contribute to maintaining and improving services. • To upkeep administrative documentation needed by the programme. • As representatives, to uphold the values of MWS and the profession through speech, behavior and the written word. • To undertake research through focused group discussions, online surveys and evaluation forms collation and analysis to develop MWS brand of parenting support programmes/services based on the needs of the parents within respective clusters. • To develop relevant broad-based parenting programmes to cater to the needs of the schools within specific clusters such as parent support groups on quarterly basis. • To support and supervise the work of the SWAs /PCs in carrying out their respective duties, roles and responsibilities. • To network and facilitate proper referrals and link up for parents who would need additional services to address family issues. • Undertake any other duties assigned by the Head of Parenting Support Services & Cluster Director – Family Services.

Job Requirements

Qualifications • Degree in Social Work, Psychology , Counselling or Sociology or related disciplines and with 3-5 years of social service experience would be preferred. • Certified and with experienced Family Life Educator with school related exposure would be an added advantage

Working conditions • Travelling between schools will be required • Likely to be hot-desking

Physical requirements • Physically fit

Core Competencies Generic Skills & Competencies • Proficiency in delivering Triple P programmes according to the prescribed delivery model • Able to communicate the programme and ideas with stakeholders • Team player with good people skills • Able to articulate and contribute ideas to achieve common outcomes • Understand self, personal values, beliefs and the way these impact the working relationship with key stakeholders especially with the schools and parents • Provide coaching to SWAs to develop their skills and knowledge on their jobs to enhance performance • Lead by example at team level. Encourage and guide others to adopt, make changes or take action Contribute to a conducive work environment that facilitates relationships building, teamwork and the development of others • Due to the fact that this is a new initiative, to possess a level of maturity to be able to handle a work environment that is evolving

Technical Skills & Competencies • Proficient in MS Office suites of software, in particular Word, Powerpoint, Excel ,Outlook , Zoom & MS Teams (including the related applications) • Good communication and written skills

Leadership Competencies • Must be a team player and able to supervise SWA/PC and work closely with pool of locum FLE facilitators
