Job description
  • Must be familiar with the provisions of the Destitute Persons Act and the Destitute Person (Welfare Home) Rules.
  • Ensure the safe custody of residents.
  • Supervise and manage the staff in the department
  • Prepare and plan staff and doctors’ roster
  • Ensure that Staff Nurse / Assistant Nurse attend the BCLS
  • Attend to Board of Visitors’ (BOV) visits.
  • • Attend BOV and other MSF related meetings when needed.
  • • Attend to BCM matters.
  • Participate in the yearly budget of the Home.
  • Maintain good nursing practices in the Home
  • Ensure that all incidents and events of residents are properly recorded and reported.
  • Sit in for residents’ misbehaviour conference with Director and other colleague concern.
  • Ensure that staff, who are the Individual Care Plan (ICP) managers of the incident cases follow-up with counselling reports of the residents concerned.
  • Participate in the ICP development of residents concerned.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the home and medical / nursing of residents.
  • Ensure residents go for their medical appointment
  • Ensure RMRs are up-to-date and signed
  • Update monthly categorisation of residents
  • Follow up on re-categorisation of residents in June and December
  • Ensure pharmacy audit are conducted every 6 month
  • Ensure that oxygen concentrator servicing are done every 6 month
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.
